Birthday Headshots

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting up with an old friend of mine, Idris, to help him take some headshots and portrait photos for her birthday. Every year he takes a handful of celebratory pictures to post on his social media. But this year, he wanted to treat himself to something more professional! This was a standard headshot session against both white and textured black backdrops with some beautiful tungsten lighting. He had slight wardrobe changes with his two different top choices. One thin turtle-neck long sleeve for a classy and mature look. Then, a more fun style option with a fuzzy red jacket!
Both Idris and I live in Tallahassee, so our session was right in the studio! His portrait session lasted a solid half-hour during which we were able to create some really awesome images. I think we made the perfect blend of clean and classic headshots so he can use them on his resume and LinkedIn and fun model style photography for his personal social media. I think one of the best parts of these shoots is the minimal retouching required. I take pride in creating good photographs in-camera; meaning faster editing and faster delivery to the client. Idris was able to get his selected final images the next business day!
He was extremely happy with the results. I hope to work with him for his next birthday photography session! Below are some of our favorite images I was able to capture.
Photography sessions like this are great for updating professional headshots, giving your social media an updated look, or even just to simply treat yourself or a loved one to beautiful portraits. The look on a client’s face when they see their final images is hard to match as a photographer and I look forward to it every photoshoot!
