Chaya and Malcolm
I was introduced to Chaya and Malcolm a year ago through a project to edit their wedding video! These two amazing individuals met in middle school, and after many many years, they finally tied the naught in one of the most magnificent and heartfelt ceremonies I have had the pleasure of working on. Almost as if on a schedule, a year later, the two of them announced through social media that they were expecting a baby! I offered my services to capture their maternity photos, and together the three of us were able to collaborate on one of my favorite shoots to date. Chaya and Malcolm explained they wanted to do something different with these images, something unique and special. For that, they opted for a studio photoshoot and went with a clean and minimal look. Chaya most notably donned a lovely black dress and Malcolm a simple but classy dress shirt and slacks. The two of them were natural in front of the camera and because of that I was able to capture some beautiful candid moments celebrating Chaya’s pregnancy.
Below are a handful of the keeper images from our shoot, and I must say I’m eager to get in the studio again to create more black-and-white maternity photos. The classic look of black and white has always held a special place in my heart, so finally being able to create photography for a client with this look was an absolute dream come true.
